1. Shut down all the unnecessary programs

2. Temporarily disable your Internet connection

3. Delete the folders and files under if they still exist. Most users will have C: as the default emplacement for Program Files, if the emplacement is in another drive, open it.

By Matthew J. Emanuel
The ease of use, and the remote PC support is awesome.
The sandbox technology along with the comfort of a $500 guarantee makes this the best PC security suite out there.
It seems to catch everything. lot better than windows and nod32
Tons of features and they are all great.
I’ve used a few different security programs, and this one is my favorite so far.

5I Was Pleasantly Surprised
By Bobby
I use Comodo for the SSL certificate on my business web site and thought who better to protect my computers. The software was easy to install, after registering I clicked on the live help icon and a Comodo technican helped me configure the software and even fixed problem that I was having with Windows. The software has more features than I expected, being protected when using a public hotspot is something I really like and online backup is nice to have since I once lost a PC with all my pictures on it. They helped me not only ensure that my security was set up properly but made my pc run better than it has since I bought it.

1Unstable, Defective and Creates More Problems!
By S. A. ROBBINS
The Comodo software (on its own) made changes to the setup on my PC that prevented me from downloading some of my emails to my PC and even accessing the network router. And it didn’t make a lot of sense. I have multiple email accounts with different providers, Comcast, Gmail, Hotmail, etc. One day I was unable to download the emails (via POP forwarding) from my Gmail Accounts. Then later I was unable to even connect to my router. I verified the router and internet access was working as I have multiple computers (Wifi, Ethernet) and the other PCs were not having any access problems. I initially tried different solutions, rebooting, restoring to earlier date, etc and finally I disabled Comodo and everything worked again. I had made zero changes to Comodo so there was no reason for this to occur. I can only surmise that there may have been an auto-update that caused this. I have now dumped my Comodo software and switched to ESET’s NOD32 Antivirus and am not having any problems.

Whether Comodo works or not, it is inexcusable for the software to make arbitrary changes that result in disabling any functions on your computer without notifying of these changes. If you are using a Comodo software and you find that one day some part of your computer system stops working (like getting emails, internet access, etc), try disabling the Comodo software and see if these functions start working again. I’m betting they will.

I gave up on trying to get any answers from Comodo regarding this issue as I think I could get farther talking to one of my animals. Comodo simply ignores any requests for tech support and denies that it’s software caused this. Yet they cannot explain (or will not) as to why disabling the Comodo software restored all functionality!
